Truth. Californium is a synthesized transuranic element. Francium is probably the rarest element on earth occurring in nature (can be synthesized though). It is present in uranium ore from decay of heavier elements for 20 minutes before it decays - very hard to capture in nature. Second would be plutonium, then neptunium.

I can't find an average cost of a pound of diamonds... i know the price is very vriable specially on the actualy size of the each stone. I'm starting to think that this could be the most expensive natural reassource on earth. Crazy considering it's all artificially inflated.

found a couple of figures that could help:

1 carat weighs about .20 grams

1 pound = 453 grams, therefore there are approximately
2268 carats per pound.

The average value given by De Beers for Botswana diamonds is a minimum
of $80 a carat.

so 2268 X 80$ = 181,440$/pound

So all we need now is to find something that cost more then 181,440$/pound

a perfect ruby or perfect alexandrite gem is going to be more expensive than a diamond of equal size. alexandrite regularly sells upwards of 100,000 dollars a carat

you have to remember diamonds are easily purchased on the market at fair prices. yes there are the rare examples that are abnormally expensive but on a average basis they are not that expensive when you compare them to the rarity that is something like alexandrite or a truly perfect ruby
