Rum Drinkers
So over this weekend I had the liberty to try 2 different things. 1) A cigar and 2) The best Rum i've EVER tasted....Ron Zacapa 23yo.
You guys have to try that rum out. It is EXCELLENT, nothing like that bacardi or cpt. morgan crap. This stuff goes down SOOOO smooth. I found myself drinking it on the rocks and the only liquor that I can do that with is Johnny Walker Green.
It's about $45 at the state stores here in philly. I'd suggest you guys try it out, you won't be disappointed.

captain is far from crap
it's just not an overly aged rum. bacardi though is crap
i've been drinking a couple rums from costa rica and nicuragua recently:
try and find flora de cana, their 18 year is excellent. i've yet to see it in any stores stateside though. although you can buy online from a couple places.

Morgan is not terrible but it's definitely a party rum.
Sailor Jerrys on the other hand is one of my favorite spiced rums.

Ok, i guess I should've used a better term for capt :chuckles: I think it's crappy only because it's more of a party rum as John pointed out. Granted I will take a capt. and coke over a bacardi anyday of the week. I just now started trying to stock my bar with quality booze for me and party booze for when people come over. I was out and my future cousin in law showed me Ron Zacapa 23yo and it straight knocked my socks off.
Also if anybody else has any other good quality booze they want to share i'm all ears. Note, i'm only going as high as $50. I am still trying to plan for a wedding :chuckles:
