Although it is done in satire, it does make a pretty good point:

Is this whole "supporting gay marriage" and "end the hate" movement happening among many Americans and the rest of the world just a fad, or do they truly mean it?

In other words, if we end the hate against gays and minorities, and its taboo to make "gay" jokes, then why is it not wrong to make fun of gays also?

Eh, just thought I'd share it here...what do you guys think? Is there a double-standard, or not?

I use gay jokes quite a lot, but I have made an concious effort to cut down and stop using the word "gay" to describe something I don't like. I never use the f-word h: IMO, I can't see opposition to equal rights for gay couples as anything other than bigotry. Period. Equality isn't a fad, and the issue isn't going away until equality is achieved.

As for redneck-bashing... it's going to keep on happening, just as hippie bashing and homo bashing and every other type of shit-talking out there. It's our constitutional right to talk shit
