XP reformat question
Can I use Dell XP cd to reformat NON-DELL laptop if I have key on bottom of laptop?

what cd is it? if its the full version yes.. if it's an upgrade disc, i dont know.

what do you mean full version? There is only one DELL CD. We are talking about DELL disk not XP disk.

If it says reinstall, no.
How about you put it in and try it out? Would take you 2 minutes.

I think the Dell CDs are made to automatically put the key that the Dell PC came with...

If you put it into a non-oem machine it will still install windows. Then after a few minutes it will tell you to activate windows which is where you need the key off the bottom of the laptop. So yes it should work.
