Default help me plan a weekend in NYC

Masaya has been helping me like whoa but I need some help. I've been to nyc a bajillion times and I forgot what is fun for a first timer. Since I'm bringing a girl who has never been, I need some advice on what to do and hotels to stay at.

Things to do:

1. The Met
2. Intrepid?

Places to stay (near locations and 100-150/night):

1. Hilton Garden Inn (west 35th) -- booked
edit: 2. Radisson Martinique (just booked it! don't need help here).

Thanks!

Oh and LAB if you remember that bar where they mix drinks for you, I'd love the name. Thanks!

edit: nevermind its called death and co http://nymag.com/listings/bar/death-and-co01/

Statue of Liberty is lame and for tourists. Unless museums are your thing, the Met is just another museum. Go bar hopping in the Lower East Side and you're bound to catch a live band somewhere. I also like the West Village a lot as you can catch a comedy show or play beer pong with some NYU peeps. Try a site like going.com to find something interesting. If you're into strip clubs, Robert's Steakhouse will treat you right.
