This is per recommendation of my new boss. She said there is a lot more to do in SLC than Provo, and it won't be much of a "culture shock."
True, but it's going to suck commuting from Provo to SLC and back every day unless you're working non-peak hours. You'll be spending quite a bit more as well with higher rent in SLC and gas for commuting. Unless you plan on going out every night, I'd get a place in Provo or somewhere in Utah county, then take trips up to SLC when you want to go out for the night or what not. Just my opinion.
