I'm somewhat in the boonies...therefore no faster dsl available to me, cable is a rip off have to buy a package that I don't want.

Same here - DSL is no faster than 1.5 because of my location - and my cable must be like yours. If you have cable internet through them, they cannot block you getting the channels. So they just charge you for them instead.

No competition (except from QWest 1.5mbps DSL) FTL.

I have qwest dsl for $45 and it sucks donkey gonads. I mainly chose qwest because comcast customer service is fucking awful. When I move, I definitely need faster internetz.

what's your speed with qwest? I'm rockin 12mbps and thats pretty freakin quick. I can stream any movie on netflix with the click of a button and online with the ps3 is great. I can even get 20mbps in my area if I wanted to, and they just started offering 40mbps on Qwest. thats pretty damm impressive for DSL.

I wish verizon FiOS was in my area, but they are a ways off I believe. I'm curious to see what LTE is going to be like when that starts to roll online in the next few years.
