you don't get the stringy stuff on it either when you open it that way from what i read.

I have never had trouble opening it from the stem. It's incredibly easy.

But when you open it that way, you get that lil hard tip. Who really has trouble opening it from the stem

the little hard tip is on that end...so when you open it from that side, it comes off and supposedly takes all the stringy stuff off with it....supposedly.

it is sometimes difficult to open the banana from the stem when they are very rip, they tend to squish.
