here is a quick snap of one of my pages on my iphone, notice the custom background, 5 icon dock, 5 rows of apps. Also there are a bevy of applications that just aren't available on App store. Also unlocking/jb allows me to use my UK T-mobile SIM card while I am here so I still have a phone.

 

So I just jailbroke my phone via redsn0w, but now I cannot connect to the AT&T network. Do I have to also unlock the phone as well for this to work?

 

no, ATT is the default carrier. I have jailbroken 5 3G phones on 3.0 with no issue. Are you running a 1G phone or the 3G?

does it say no service, or nothing in the top left? Have you done a hard restart since the break?
