2) Yeah you mentioned that... I'll try to stop by soon. Are the tie downs the ratchet kind? The soft rack I have has the strap part loop around and go through a set of teeth, which honestly don't hold that well.

If you could trade in your hybrid, what car would you get?
The ratchet straps are some of the strongest types of tie downs you can get. When the fiance and I strap kayaks or my surfboard on her truck I use the teeth kind and it holds well, but not as strong as ratchet straps. Just don't strap it too tight or else you can probably damage your board.
