tuesday morning thread v.igotnothin'
actually i did.
i start at time warner july 13th (next monday). it's working at the call center, providing support for customers. i got offered a position one level above the entry level position, so i guess that's good. i don't really want to work at a huge call center like that and also be responsible for selling things over the phone, but it's something for now. the training is four to five weeks (normal hours, 8-5, the real job is 2-11) so i figure i have some time to find another job that is something i really want to do.
two weeks ago i had an interview at o-at-ka milk cooperative for an it position they are creating. they are planning on having second interviews this week and making a decision at the end of the week / beginning of next week. i thought the first interview went well, so i'm hoping i hear back for a second interview today or tomorrow :x:
last week i had an interview at the university of buffalo for a webmaster job for their earthquake engineering and extreme events department. i think it went pretty well, i think they liked me a lot. they are planning on setting up second interviews next week and i hope i get one of those too
h:
i had another interview last week after the ub one, but it was really awkward and the people didnt' really seem prepared to interview someone and just kind of were like.. we don't really want to hire you, why are you here? so fuck that place
the milk and ub jobs are in buffalo. nicole is moving there to go to grad school in the fall, so i'm really trying to get a job out there. i've been having more luck there in a month than i have in syracuse for like five
