That is correct - there was an armistice signed, which North Korea withdrew from in late May of this year.

When Kim Jong Il croaks, I bet the govt falls apart. He's chosen his 26 year old son (with no experience whatsoever) to succeed him. It's a very small group of people who are actually benefitting from the status quo, and millions of people who are suffering from it. Something's gotta give.

The truly scary potential of this is this moving into some kind of world war, Nk provides weapons to Iran, so if we start something with North korea, and Iran jumps in, then we will likley inlist the assistence of england, which could provoke terrrorist cells through out irak and afganistan to push those area into even further chaos. Just seems like the longer this waits, further we circle the drain. So much shit hitting the fan right now the whole world is teetering on the edge
