Default Bolt remover....

So this weekend i tried to replace my fogs on a 03 WRX. all 6 rusted bolts broke
have anyone ever tried this product?

Any ideas on how to get the body of the bolt out?

The link's not working for me, but if you're talking about the socket with the spirals to a point in the middle, I bought the small metric set. Works. I did notice that I had to tap the socket over the rusted bolt for better placement. Also, pushing slightly towards the bolt while turning, helped the teeth dig in better. It chews the shit out of the bolt, so be sure to use tons of liquid wrench, because you'll only get a couple of shots with it.

They can be a PITA, but they work. It shouldn't matter if the bolt head is broken off, just use the extractor that's the appropriate size for your broken bolt. Soak that shit for a day before you try to pull them out.

Those 'As seen on TV' ones actually work. You make a hole w/ on end, then flip it around for the extractor end. Tried it on a snapped exhaust manifold stud and worked good. The only problem you may have is if the screw head is gone and the shank is too small.

I used those kind before, and the sucker just made a huge pit in the center. It was a rotor bolt on my civic. I ended up hammering a flat head screwdriver into it, and twisting it off.

Reverse drill bit works 80% of the time without the need for an extractor
