Went to visit a friend in a coma this afternoon. Motorcycle accident. Seems like there have been more than usual this season.

 

that sucks dude. a friend in high school slipped on ice and hit his head so hard it put him in a coma for a couple days. sucks cause i at a park and rec basketball game with him an hour or two before. shit happens man. say some prayers for him and his family.

Left turn? I got hit on my Elite 150 summer before my Junior year in high school. Dude claims he didn't see me. Clipped the left side. My chest hit the dash, I did two flips in the air and landed on my ass. I had on shorts and a tank top, wearing vans and flannel tied around my waist. No helmet either. I'm lucky to be alive :hs:

 

That sucks. Hopefully everything turns out all right for him. :sad:

That's why I got rid of my bike about a month ago. Too many of these going around.

 

Thanks. I am and will some more. He wasnt a close friend but a good dude for sure (he was close enough to be a friend but not a family member type friend).

One pupil was dilated. He did have some response to the feet and hands poking. I hate seeing bikers go down man.

 

Chef, that sucks dude. Ive only been down once (on the street anyway) but I didnt get hurt. I consider myself safe and lucky. It seems like everyday I have to elude some queer that either isnt paying attention or doesnt give a shit.

 

I'm sorry for your friend. Although I'm glad he still has a chance. I hope he pulls out.

I had to go to a funeral today, i don't wish that on anyone.

 

Living in the city, I don't think I'd ride again. People on cell phones and texting while driving = depth perception all thrown off.

I'll never forget the people running out of the local business looking at me like I was a zombie. One woman hugged me, grabbed me by the face and said, "You should be dead, and you're not! Do something good with your life!"

Fuck...

 

Sorry to hear. One of my riders recently went down due to a flat (mechanical error) at 55mph, his wife had to have surgery, not sure what the status is, but he is okay. Another members friend went down pretty hard and has been in the hospital for weeks, and another member owns a shop who lost an employee due to an accident.

Tons more, but you get the point. Its a risk we all take, and unfortunately, everyone will have their turn.

Riding is dangerous, that is why I told my brother not to get a bike. You could be the safest rider, but you have to deal with oblivious people driving on the same road.

I know a guy who just got his leg amputated because a car hit him while he was on his bike.
