1975 Honda CB550 Four v Official Build Thread
Sure I'll grab a pic. I need to get a bike jack in order to change out the new headlight ears. I was happy to find that I don't need to worry about mufflers in PA due to the manufacturing date of the bike.
if you're needing to put the front of the bike in the air, use a couple racketing tie-down straps thrown over a rafter in the garage to hold it up. I find it easier to put a couple boards under the wheel first and pull them out after the straps are tight and to do the reverse for putting it down.
1 year and 4 months later.. updates!
Been riding it for little more than a week now, the bike is real responsive and rides great! Right now I am clocking 39.5 MPG with semi-aggressive riding. I guess the styling took a turn to more 'bobber'ish than chopped, which is fine, cause its coming together sweetly.

Wheels I bought with a few other things, unfortunately the front is a 19 vs my 20 and the back is a 17 vs my 19, so I'll probably clean these up and re-sell them for profit (got them for $20 a piece):

Things still to come:
- Correct rear pegs (these are fronts that work for now)
- Tuck in the rear fender so that there is less gap between the seat and tail light. This will shorten the length and also reduce the wheel gap. The test fit looked sick. Not sure if I want to keep it chrome, or painted black.
- Remove the ugly huge gauges and replace with a mini-speedo/odo (no tach) mounted in the center.
- Remove and replace ugly honda bar clamp and replace with a chrome clamp.
- Possibly add a right mirror.
- Still needs rear signals. Will most likely purchase mini-LED signals. Don't care for front signals.
- Still want a new seat, but this one is pretty comfy and clean. Not my first priority.
