I think that the Volvo 122 looks pretty sweet. I've never heard of it but I'll have to look into it some more.

Pretty much any older volvo can be hopped up with the 2.3 turbo motor I had in my wagon, which can haul some ass with little tuning. I think a v8 swap is feasible in a 122 also.

510s and 240Zs leave me cold at this point... maybe I've seen too many living in LA.
If you can find a solid P1800 or 122 at this point, I'll be impressed... but I wouldn't take on either as a project.

To me, a Ghia hardtop would be most interesting, but I'd keep it authentic.
I'd build a 2.2 stroker motor rather than hack up the body to swap in an EJ.
