Stace and I have to do that soon as well, we can never find the time to do it. Our wedding is a lot sooner than yours though, so we better hurry up.

 

So only 2 ppl think that $1k for a knife set is ridiculous?

 

just cuz you put it on your registry doesnt mean somebody is gonna buy it for you. if i could get a free knife by putting 1k worth of knives on my registry, i would have done it too

 

What if you do get the ducking knifes? It would suck to be stuff with 1k worth if knives because you wanted a free one

 

Never said anyone would buy it, just that it's ridiculous.

 

Im with tarek on this one. The reason you get the free knife is because the makers know someone may buy their if its on the list. They somehow must have figured out the return on investment is worth it.

That or you like the knife so much you really will want it and/or you buy it yourself later with wedding money.
