I'm not a pro on phones, so i can't say 
I'm currently using some free crap non-smartphone samsung phone I would like to know what good recommendations for smart phones beside the iphone.
i just want a good texting phone, no need for other crap.

I don't mind Windows Mobile...my Tilt had was one of the first phones to run 6.0 back when I got it in '07 and it's been good. But my phone is frying out on me and being difficult to you, and my qwerty buttons are getting to where they don't register when I push them. I'm a little skeptical on using an all touch-screen phone with texting...but my buddy that has the Samsung Eternity says it's not bad once you get used to it. I think I'll go with the iPhone and see what happens.

So I think I'm going to go with the iPhone. I'm going to go look at them today. And as far as the Updates go, I did some research and this summer they're coming out with OS 3.0 for the iPhone and iTouch...but if they offer the 3.0 Software as a free update for the iPhone and charge $10 for the 3.0 update on the iTouch. So I might go ahead and get the phone, and update it for free when 3.0 comes out...which one of the new features of the update is sending Picture Texts.

I'd go for the iphone over the Epix. My husband just got the Samsung Eternity and it's a really cool phone as well.
