East Coast, what to do?
So, my buddy is getting married out in NH this summer, mid-june. I'm going to be road tripping out there with some friends, and we plan to bomb around New England some... I've never been there, only to NYC.
I really want to go to Maine for some reason. The wedding is going to be on Lake Winnipesaukee, which looks pretty amazing. Adirondack NP isn't too far away, planning on checking that out.
I'll have my D200 in tow, and plan on shooting up a storm. Where should we go, what should we do? I plan on bringing a tent, so camping is preferred.
Also, what's the weather like in June? Rainy? Cold?

Nah i'm kidding, but i know nothing about that area, I do know that around june it's usually not as rainy as it is in april and sept. It will be hot though.

fuck, i dunno, never been there. It's still pretty mild here in june, too early to jump in a lake.
i'm assuming it'll be nice, but was especially curious about rain / temp, as that could put a damper on things.
damn coasties h:

I can imagine... I've planned a route through Canada, cross the border just south of Montreal, and cut through the park. It looks like the lake is less than an hour away from the park, so I hope to spend some time there.

if your going up to that area hitup the Kangamangius highway. super fun twisty road with an amazing view. just driving around Lake Winnipesaukee is nice. NH at that time of year is a crap shoot, it tends to be pretty rainy that time of year. hopefully you luck out.

I tend to "luck out" when it comes to weather... hopefully it happens again.
