On our cruise there were tons of announcements alerting people to the fact that their cell usage would be based on their international rates with their cell providers. It's no one's fault but their own for using it without knowing about the international rates.
I'm not sure about them but my phone told me it was on a different carrier/network the entire time. It should be pretty obvious.

yup he was watching the game on his laptop using his AT&T "3G" card and it had no signal so it was on roaming and basically pickup a signal from who knows where LOL the guy had to get the news involved to get the bill down. He was still in USA.
LOLz. When I went on a cruise last September my next month's cell phone bill was over twice what it normally is. All I did was check HAN and Slickdeals a few times. :wtc:
