I think if you use old p38 Mustang "stars and stripes" tags on it like on the fuselage and wings of this one here:



Would really bring out the effect you are going for. Maybe one on the neck tube then one on each side of the lower frame running to the cranks or possibly the chainguard. Just real clean and simple but a nice finishing touch to give it that old school flavor.

I am awesome (I rode my bike and it was brrr cold and windy),

 

my friend was actually saying I should paint a mouth and eyes on it like this

 

I dunno I think that would be too aggressive for an otherwise subtle looking bike, but it's your bike.

 

I'm with the "It looked better before" crew. It might look better if you do some of the things people suggested, but right now it just looks ghetto. And I like flat paint, my motorcycle is flat black.
