anyone have a legit copy of vista ultimate oem?
a customers computer crashed and the recovery image he burned upon startup isn't working. i'd like to see if i can find an ISO instead of him having to get one from HP.
this is not against TOS because microsoft does not care about software images, only falsifying serial numbers. do not delete. :squint:

Shouldn't any vista cd work? I think all the bits were on every vista CD, and based on the serial that was the version that was installed? I thought I heard MS did this so user's could easily update online, be granted a serial and just stick in their CD to upgrade.

I wouldn't take it for gold, but I've seen it posted on several sites, and some blogs, ect.

I think the only dif, is that the disks may only contain 32 bit or 64 bit - not both. And then certain foreign country's versions won't be on there, like Korean, ect - also I think certain volume licensing versions may not be on with the normal versions either.
