I seriously don't feel like going thru my pass post to explain what the in has acheied in matter of internationnal diplomatic agreement and promoting democratic systems. In fact I can't do that from my phone. But the UN helped alot if African nations. They do alot of humaniterian help and are the premier actors agaisnt nuclear proliferation.


I do agree that the UN does have it's problem and needs to be revemped so that of reflects today's world. Also I agree that for the UN to be the most effective the nation has to want to stop fighting. They need to want help to be helped. The point of the UN is to try to stop a conflict before it starts. They do that by putting pressure on the gourvernments. It's impotant that they try to stop conflict the diplomatic way.

In this situation they know Korea is trying to bait countries and create conflicts. It's up to them to decide what should be done. Not just what one or a couple of countries wants but what the internationnal community wants. I think it's doing what it mandate is. Look at Iraq, the USA decided to act unilaterally and no real good came out of it. No treaty has been avoided. The UN concluded that they're was no WMDs and to date still nothing is found. The ressources spent on the as could have been used in a way better way.
