I'm sitting here switching back and forth from a 2.8GHz Uni-MacBook Pro to a 2.5 Penryn Macbook Pro. The trackpads are killing me.
While the new laptop is a total ass-kicker, I'm too old skool to adjust between the two. The form factor for the Penryn went 5 years prior to its existence, and it's burned into me like the channel guide on a cheap LCD. I'm so used to the older keyboards. I like the trackpad with a clicker. Of course, using the new one is still like second-nature after a day, but when I go back to the penryn I keep trying to press the thing through my desk. Give up. It doesn't click.
'love my flippin' Penryn. It becomes my Secondary soon. I have to trade in my old 2.4 Santa Rosa MBP in 20 days for the new Uni-MBP, so the trackpad fail is going to continue with me well through the next year. I know I'll never quite adjust to having both.
Nobody feels sorry for me.
