Not at all. I've used it with shit graphics cards and it runs well.
I stick with 32 bit mainly because of the java and flash issues. Once those are fixed I will switch back, but I got tired of doing the workarounds.
And iTunes is the only reason I have VirtualBox installed also. I doubt they'll have it working in Wine anytime soon. They've been working on it since iTunes 6.0, which was the last one that semi worked with Wine.
I haven't tried Jaunty yet. I'm just going to wait until its released to upgrade. If I had a second computer running and could afford downtime if something went wrong or I fucked something up, I would.
That is the one problem I am having with it still, so I have stayed with the 32 bit version. They are supposed to have addressed a lot of those issues in this release, because this release will be the one that goes out to the masses for the most part, people that will see their first real look at Linux.
I do all kinds really, my cnc software runs under Wine in Ubuntu, along with my Video Editing and Music software. The last straw for me to Windows is iTunes, and once they get that figured out for Wine, the Windows VM image is gone too

Rocking the Jaunty on my desktop and laptop for a couple weeks now. So far it's really great.
Only issue is with the KDE4 Network manager widget, doesn't connect to WPA2 networks. So, I just use WICD instead, it's really slick.

Just use a live CD and see if you have any problems. I have not had any wifi problems with it for about 3 versions.
