Depends, but a base install for a machine that is desktop/lappy is about 700MB fully installed not including swap space.

Actually just installed it inside windows. It's amazing how easy they made it to be installed without formatting, partitioning, ect..
It seems to be running very well. Wavey windows are cool once I got my display adapters installed.

Do you guys know a software to recover data from a bad hard drive?
I get the error drive fail on startup but I can see it on ubuntu and it wont read it, and forget about windows.
Is a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 and I know the File System are corrupted but I don't want to format.
2 hard disk gone bad in the same week heh

Go to isohunt and download hiren, it has all kinds of utilities, but if Ubuntu has a hard time reading it, you may be hosed.

cool is working and 4hrs left copying 76GB.
