I'm not too worried about them catering ads to me, I'll take that trade off if it means better browsing. I heard safari it a pretty good browser, I haven't tried it out myself yet.

Better quit using Google period then. They released that they're going to start putting up ads based on what webpages you browse on. Only way to disable it is if you have an addon.

Check out SwiftWeasel. I think its for windows. Its an optimized, stripped down and debranded version of FF.
