I hope my elite pulls through.
Yeah I wasn't expecting issues, I bought this Elite and gave the other one to my daughter. The one I gave her had already gone in on this and supposedly this elite was in the newer batch with the fix already in place. Gonna piss me off if they lied or the updated chip setup is doing the same damn thing.

I have been getting system freeze over the last month now. Since the update it really hasn't been acting right though.

apparently, it was still happening with the new ones that were supposed to fix the issue. But they've been through I think 4 or 5 different chipsets...hopefully they've finally resolved it.

I'm thinking of picking up a new special addition, all-red XBox 360. h:

at least that way the system's color will match when I get the RROD. :chuckles:

If things at work were to pick up just a bit more, I was thinking I might just seriously consider the RE5 360... but damn, so many probs.

The original xbox wasn't prone to problems, right?.... I wonder if the probs. w/ 360 are more down to assembly line flaws or something like the solder itself

My PS1 (although it's a later iteration) and PS2 (ditto) still work fine, but no way I could justify the cost of PS3.

My PS3 has never had any problem either...probably 'cause I never use it.
