New TV v.istillthinksearchsucks
I was going to post in the "Post your home theater setup" thread, but I couldn't find it.
Anyhoo, I got a hand-me-down from my brother
h: Probably nothing special to most of you guys, but whatever.
50" Samsung HLN50-somethingorother. I haven't looked into switching to HD, but HD hockey would be nice if it's not too pricey. This thing is way too big for my living roomh:

If that's a cable box I see, your cable company should give you a compatible HD box for free.
I'd rearrange the living room to compensate for the size, and mount that bitch on the wall.

Hang that bitch on the wall and hide them wires with some kind of painted cover or a rack in front of it. It makes a world of difference to the overall look of the room and space as well.

yeah, its dlp. It's not flat, but about 15" thick. As you can see, it's sitting on two end-tables right now
Yeah, I have dish. I'll call them this week and figure out what is involved with upgrading to HD. I don't really watch much TV, I'm really just curious because hockey is a gazillion times better to watch in HD, and other sports are good too.
My brother got another samsung, I forget what it's called, but it looks to be about 55" or so and it glows red around the edges. Circuit City was going closing down and he got it new in box for half price
