Being under the influence of cannabis poses much less of a threat than being under the influence of alcohol.
But I'm not surprised cops are not backing this, some of them might be out of a job if this passes.

One day pot will be legal and the government and everyone opposed to it will be like "Shit. We could have been making this kind of money for decades now!"
