north face are pretty nice but overpriced. i mean if you don't know any better and live a "trendy" lifestyle then sure thats what you buy. i'm not gonna knock someone who buys it cuz it does do a good job and i've had north face myself before, but like i said for what you pay there are much better options out there.

I stick with REI brand stuff. Just as good as North Face but lower costs. Especially when your fiancé works there and gets things at obscenely lower prices .

Now if you want pricey go with Arc'teryx.

my favorite is my jacket i stole from the resort i worked at, it was one of the ones reserved for guys who work on snowmaking or groomer crews. i worked on groomer crew one night, they gave me the coat and then said to keep it ... when i left the resort i never returned it h:

thing is fucking tits, i'm tempted to go and get one of the new ones they have for employees now they look even nicer

its mostly a status thing, but if you actually use their gear outdoors its really high quality stuff.

I have a few jackets from them and love them. The older ones were made with better quality but they all come w/ life time warranties so it really doesn't matter.
