My Civic never made it past 120 ish really... then again that was a stock sedan. 97.
I drive a '98 Civic LX automatic with an alignment problem. Highest I've gone is 120, and it was still slowly but steadily gaining speed. Then I saw my exit and let off the gas.

Flat metal sticks, screw, and a nut. Fixed my bumper situation. No excuses!
my old civic went 135mph on a dyno in 3rd gear. That's what happens when you put a CX trans on a DX motor. i doubt it would have overcome the wind resistance to do that on pavement.
I hit 120mph (on what was a very inaccurate speedo, partially thanks to tires) in an automatic '86 Accord LXi hatchback, totally stock w/ a dirty air filter. It would do 115 on it's own (took forever) but w/ a draft or a slight downhill grade (not the entire way) it got to 120.
My '90 Prelude Si, also stock and sadly also an auto, did 125 easy but I didn't have room to do more safely.
My '92 Civic EX 5spd will only do about 120 thanks to the governer. It might be cable of 130 w/ out the governor, not sure. It gets to 110 at a decent pace for a stock (except filter) D16, but I do run tire pressures a bit high. If you had serious mods. though, 5th gear is more than tall enough to bury the speedo.
I learned to drive stick in one of those LXi hatchbacks. cars. Those old preludes were dope too. I used to slang pizza out of one of those
funny part about the story is i know the kid who did it, they impounded his car and are either going to crush it or sell it out in an auction. Fucking scumbag kid deserves it
180 is my fastest four wheel endevour, got scurred and backed her down.
FOK! I went 175 in a GT-40 Zephyr at Pocono International Raceway (as a passenger) for 3 laps in '95. I was about to shit myself before we hit 160 on the first lap, despite the professional driver and safety gear. What were you in?
I've never piloted anything over 133, and I know nobody will believe I was in a '85 Toyota 2WD lowrider truck, but I was.
