Anybody here shoot them?

I am thinking I am going to pick up a decent used one this year and get back into it. It's been a couple years since I shot but I plan on setting up an alley next to the house and practice a bit with plans on a deer tag this fall if all goes well.

So anyone else here shoot for sport or hunt?

Haven't since I was a kid. Just target practice, I'm not a hunter. I used to have a long bow too.

I haven't used one in a couple years; got into recurves instead (more traditional). My dad has a massive collection of all kinds of bows, makes his own arrows, helps teach people how to use them, hunts on a regular basis, and is one of the best shots around. The guy can track like a cougar; incredible man. Not sure if he's looking to sell any though.

A guy I used to work for makes some really nice ones and they sell for crazy money. His name is Warren Erickson but not sure if he still builds recurves or not. I knw he was getting an average of 4k + a piece for them though
