Submitted my resume last week and got a call on wednesday to interview today. Submitted my resume to another firm yesterday and got a call back 10 minutes later for another interview today as well.

Took the day off and went to the first interview. Great company, very successful and it's a management position. Interview ( 11 am) went very well (at least I thought so). I Interviewed with the VP of Contracts and the Exec. VP of the company (2700 employees). They said to follow up if I don't hear anything by tuesday.

Went back home and got a call in an hour with an AMAZING offer.

Took the job, canceled the second interview.

I'm giving my two weeks notice starting tuesday, but am taking the second week of that notice off with paid family leave.

I start my "new" career as the company's Contracts Manager on March 2. :yay:

Better bennies (more time off, better benefits, better 401k matching, better facilities, better type of work and no travel or billable hours!!!!)

Thanks pare! I've been DYING to move from this current firm. I like a lot of the people, but one of the attorneys I work with DAILY is one of the world's biggest morons. everything else is just icing on the cake.

Yeah, 'cept I'm pretty much leaving my firm with a solid YEAR of work already scheduled out.

I'm going to try to organize it as best I can, but I think they're going to be in a really shitty situation because of me leaving.















Oh well.
