My manager is a b***h...
I work in a pretty relaxed environment, except when it comes to the unit i'm in. (about 5 people + manager).
Our manager has a pretty big mouth... is always sarcastic and never gives the benefit of the doubt....
i know this because when i'm in a meeting with her about 50% of the time she is talking about somebody else doing something they aren't supposed to be doing.. "can you do blah blah for karen, she called in today and said she was going to be late AGAIN, I think she just wants to sleep in, blahblahblahblah she has been looking tired lately, probably late nights out blahblahblah"
anyway.. come this morning.. she walks by my desk.. 5 minutes later i get a phone call from her... "oh, i didn't think you were here today" .. nope i was in right at 9.. "oh i walked by your desk and your cabinet was locked".. nope its not locked, i just didn't open them yet, i had other things i had to do.. "oh.. ok, have you seen stephanie, she usually takes the same train as you".. not sure, we get on at different stops... "oh she's been coming in late the past 3 days blahblahblah" .. uh huh.. ill let her know you were looking for her. :db:
what should i do? i KNOW she is going behind my back talking about me.. i'm not doing anything wrong.. but i know when i slip up she will be there to call me out about it and tell everybody .. :emochuck:

I don't mind the job and "i didn't like the manager" is not really a valid reason to quit..
all the other middle management seem fine. I don't deal with them personally but im sure they aren't vultures....
i do, especially when she is the one in charge of my performance reviews..
