the guy was just being a douche... i dont know who has the right of way but courtesy should have been you should have it. should have hit him, called the cops and lied about him speeding through

Person who gets there first has right of way. If there are a lot of cars on both sides typically you take turns (most people do it in bunches because it's faster 2-4 cars go on one side and then the other). Out of curiosity where in NY where you?
