Default Anyone been to Niagara Falls?

I am going in April to Niagara Falls for a long weekend and wondering who has been and what else there is to do aside from the falls.

I went about 3-4 months ago and didn't care for it. It's pretty much a big tourist trap. But if you must go, stay on the Canadian side. Just make sure you bring 2 forms of ID and your birth certificate.

I stayed at the Embassy Suites and got the Presidential Suite. (https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/t...owbastard.html)

There is literally nothing to do outside of checking out the falls unless you enjoy throwing your money away at the casino (go to the newer one adjacent to Embassy Suites, older one sucks), corny wax museums, haunted houses, and over priced restaurants.

Be sure to get your money exchanged to Canadian prior to going to these places too. Apparently restaurants and other places there can "create" their own exchange rate and proceed to buttf*** you.

Enjoy!

this happens quite reguarly in canada ... you can go in one store and get one rate, walk next door and get a totally different one. thats why the rule for traveling to canada is take plastic. it guarantees the best exchange rate possible. alot of times the farther north you go the worse the exchange rate in my experience

The GF is taking me for my graduation. We've both never been and are planning on road tripping afterward across the U.S.

I am just trying to figure out what to do for five days up there. Is there anything cool in Canada near there within an hour or so driving?

Yep. A little over an hour according to Google Maps.
