Default computer gurus come in...help with Ram

I've got an older setup with a problem

os: windows vista ultimate 32bit version
ram: pqi ddr2 677u - 1 gig each stick
mb: ecs eforce6100sm-m (it supports ddr2 800/667/533 sdram with dual channel)
the problem is that the windows crashes as soon as it loads regarding something about the ram (blue screen)

if i ran again in safe mode, it'll load just fine
but as soon as i go to normal mode again, it'll crash.

if ran with only 1 gig, it'll work jsut fine

i ran at different ram clock settings through the bios and nothing seems to help

any pointer guys?

Get into your BIOS and run a memory test. Probably a bad stick of RAM, or its not seated properly or in the right spot.

Set your BIOS to the RAM Latency specs.

DDR2- 667 PC2-5400
Dual Channel series
Part Number - Size - Latency
PQI25400-1GDBL - 1GB - 3-3-3-8
PQI25400-1GDB - 1GB - 4-4-4-12
PQI25400-512DBL - 512MB - 3-3-3-8
PQI25400-512DB - 512MB - 4-4-4-12
PQI25400-2GDB - 2GB - 4-4-4-12

Not sure which one you have for sure, but you should be able to tell.
