A former athletic trainer at Tustin High School pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges she had a sexual relationship with an athlete at the school for about a year.
Hope Ashley Jacoby, 23, of San Juan Capistrano, is charged with four felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse, three other felony sex counts, and one felony count of distributing pornography to a minor, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Jacoby, who is out of custody on $100,000 bail, appeared at the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach, prosecutors said. She pleaded not guilty and a pretrial hearing was scheduled for Feb. 25, said spokeswoman Farrah Emami of the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Jacoby is accused of having a sexual relationship with a male student between Jan. 1, 2008, and Dec. 19, 2008, when the victim was 16 and 17 years old. She is accused of having sex with the student several times in her car and at her home, prosecutors said.
