Damn, what I hated about skate 1 was the camera.

 

Camera in Skate 1 never bothered me...I never paid much attention to it. I guess I'll have to rent Skate 2 or hook it back up to my interwebs and DL the demo.

 

I have it, but didn't play it yet.

I picked it up last week, I really like it so far.

What I like:
Skating ramps and vert is a lot easier.
New tricks are really cool.
The animations are a lot smoother but looks like the environment have slightly decreased in quality.
Skitching rides behind cars is great.
Pulling objects around is cool if you want to make your own gaps.
Loading times improved from skate 1, especially when you put down session markers.
Overall it's a great skateboarding game.

Dislikes:

In Career mode some of the voice actors get really annoying, especially when you're trying to achieve a goal and you keep missing. They just keep repeating their lines.
Walking around off your board is good but controlling your character is kinda sketchy, he doesn't move around very well.
Some glitches like being part of the geometry or taking a serious bail 10 feet in the air when you just hopped on your board.


I think that's it so far, I'm sure I'll discover more pros and cons as I keep playing.

 

I am just short of 50% done with all the objectives and I am liking it. Still not quite as much as I liked the first but it's not terrible either.

I was messing around with the vid editor today and figured I would upload some footage...yeah that was a lot of fun absolute garbage on the controls and clip selection for Skate2, just not intuitive in the least.

Aside from that I have been enjoying it for the most part.
