square, because that's what most places give you to use.

Makes no difference to me I have been using them since I was a kid so I am pretty good with them regardless.

never paid attention if they were round or square. I need to buy a reuseable set because I keep forgetting to ask for them.

I just read this on another forum. Is this for real???

The Recipe For Cooked Bamboo Shoots (Fried, Flavored and Sauced)

Title: Scary ' packed bamboo shoots'
Translated by my cousin (might have some flaws in the translation, but the overall idea and description is there)
1st: they dipped the chopsticks (used and new) into a wine bowl with additives for some days. Look at how the callous producer of ' packed bamboo shoots' make their things. Be careful with what you eat!!!

----------

2nd: then they are cut into smaller pieces=> added with some salt+ sugar

----------

3rd: added some flour, soybean sauce. mix, stir=> boil. when finished, this bastard ( literal translation the word " ke bat luong") packs all in the jar...

----------

4th; keep in a dry place. when those " chopsticks" have absorbed all the ingredients, they looks like bamboo shoots.

Awhile back I also read an article that dealt with a ban on a soy sauce that was partially made by using real human hair that caused cancer. So the next time you put something into your mouth and you THINK you know what it is, do a research, you might be surprised.
:chuck:

oh, and Square is easier to grip.
