question for you guys. I received a garmin gps for my birthday. I want to hard wire this. Can I just cut the cig adapter and run it right into the fuse box? I did some reading and people were saying that I need to hardwire a female end of a cig ligter and then just plug my male end into that. They said not to cut the male end.

just wrap the + side of the wire around the metal part of the Radio fuse (I think its number 15) and jam it back into the fuse panel. Then ground the ground wire to metal on the body using a self tapping screw. Put an eyelet on the ground like a washer and boom. It will now turn on and off with the car. no cutting required.
