I don't think it's all about the fact that people aren't buying porn. Sites like Redtube and others that give you the whole shibang for free is fucking Larry more than the economy.

Actually knowing how Larry thinks this is probably his way of showing protest over the bailout deals already being made. I am sure he has more money than god at this point and could care less nor is his mag really hurting.

Hell you have to also understand that in times of economic downturn gun sales, booze, cigs and porn all go on the upswing.

 

I doubt it will go through. Hardcore religious people will raise hell and fuck them over(Pun not intended)

 

Look at Bush's paper trail of who funded his campaign. Porn is everywhere. In my hotel in Ohio a couple of weeks ago, the tv couldn't WAIT to tell you that ordering adult entertainment would NOT be on the room's bill. It's a nice thing to do while you order it and lay the remote next to the gift from The Gideons.

That is the exact point Flynt is trying to make.

Companies are supposed to live and die by their decisions and dealings but if the government won't allow them to fail due to poor management or building crap nobody can afford to drive or even want then why not bailout everyone regardless of industry? It wasn't my fault the economy went into the shitter because I live within my means, but I am paying for it with lower wage, hours, layoffs etc. so where the fuck is my bailout for doing exactly what I should be doing?

This is the point he is trying to put across to the assholes in Washington...if I have to declare bankruptcy then they should too.
