Why would anyone need a 30 round magazine?
Couple says 10 gang members broke into their Northeast Austin home
Austin police have arrested one man in a home burglary in which police believe he and nine other gang members attempted to rob a Northeast Austin house early New Year’s Day. A manhunt continues for those nine suspects.
Around 4:45 a.m. Thursday morning Austin Police Department officers went to a home near Rundberg Lane and Interstate 35, where they found one man being pinned to the ground.
The victims, a married couple, said they were sleeping in their bed with their baby when the suspect, Sean Morrow, 26, broke into their home with nine other men.
They say that Morrow and several other men held them at gunpoint in their bedroom. They said that Marrow told them they were members of the Texas Syndicate, and they would be killed “if you try anything.”
"I think the unusual aspect of this is that 10 individuals broke into this house. Usually when there is a home invasion type robbery, you hear there are two or three 2 or 3 suspects going into a house," Austin police Sgt. Richard Stresing said.
After the men had collected the TV and other objects, Morrow was left behind, according to police. The wife said Morrow had taken the keys to their Cadillac Escalade and asked her how to start the car. When she showed him, she locked the keys inside the car.
When police arrived on the scene, they said the husband and his brother had tackled Morrow in the yard and had held him there.
Morrow has been charged with aggravated robbery and is being held on $100,000 bond.
