bimmer v. body work progress thread
so I decided to go ahead with taking care of the rust spot on the bimmer before it started to get icy
anyway, here's what I started out with:
and here's what I ended with this evening:
I was told my next steps should be to:
- spray area with rust eating primer (have)
- sand whole area (sand block) w/ a high grit sand paper
- blend edges with orbital sander
- light layer of "nitrostan" (?) or bondo
- sand with high grit sand paper
- repeat above two steps 2 or 3 times
- spray with sandable primer
- lightly wet sand with a fine grit sand paper (2000grit)
and then have it painted.
Does this sound right?
