Actually there was a study done comparing screw cap to cork and they both are equally good...actually I think the screw cap came off better in the ability to keep a wine for longer after opening.
yeah i read the same. the screw cap actually does a better job of keeping the air out.

that's what i usually do. if there aren't enough people interested to finish the bottle I don't even bother offering to open a bottle.

I've also heard that some wine companies are going to start switching over to plastic bottles. they are still going to use glass for the higher end wines just because people would be snobby about using plastic.
