chris posts his trip meter at 63 miles and half tank implying that he ripped on his car, getting what, 12-14mpg.

you post "i rip on mine daily and still get 22-23mpg". if thats not a mpg one-up, i dont know what is.

haha come on man, i was just commenting on how its like clockwork that any time someone posts about low gas mileage or burning oil, someone has to point out their mileage is fine and their motor doesnt burn oil despite being "ripped" on or "taken to redline" frequently. its a fact. no debate. in this case, oldman and brett were the participants of the clockwork-like comments.

i wasnt calling them out, per se. just saying i find it amusing, hence the "awesome" and "haha" in the original post.

I didn't see it as 'one-upping' :dunno: I thought it was a discussion on different MPG in different S2ks and how the tank sits at 1/2 full

 

i dont one-up people anymore. i graduated and moved on to two-upping. i got 52miles on half tank and then switched driving behavior to achieve a stellar 38mpg on the remaining half tank.

 

i got 48 on half tank and then 40mpg the rest of it. just sayin

 

I get 35mpg....
