i dont get what sex ur children are or where live has to do with it?

my sister is a girly girl to the core but she loves shooting and hunting. hell i know a girl who you would look at and say no way that girl would do anything but look pretty, but she loves going shooting.

and living in the city = even more reason to own a firearm or 2

if your shooting shotguns they kick pretty hard, they are fun but kick hard. it opened my eyes on just how powerful shotguns are after I fired off the first round. sounds like your going with a few friends and they proably have experience, you'll have a lot of fun tomorrow.

Meh...only thing I think has a kick from a shotgun is a 3" slug from a short barrel. Aside from that it's not bad at all.

really? I thought the 3" OO buckshot kicked harder then the slugs I was shooting, but then again I can't remember if the were 2 3/4" or 3" shells.

i find that a 12gauge side by side kicks quite had when you accidently pull both triggers at the same time h:

also when you spend a day competing and go through 100 - 200 rounds it tends to put a good bruise into your shoulder

treat every weapon as if it were loaded
never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot
keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire
keep your weapon on safe until you intend to fire

these weapons saftey rules are drilled into us since day one of boot camp. and at every live fire range we go to. :crazyr:
