Macaulay Culkin’s sister died Wednesday in a traffic accident.
Dakota Culkin, 29, sibling of the “Home Alone” star was reportedly fatally struck by a vehicle while walking in Los Angeles Tuesday, according to TMZ.com. She died the next afternoon from massive head trauma.
“We can officially confirm that the victim is Dakota Culkin,” a representative for Culkin said in a statement. “This is a terrible tragic accident. We have no further comment at this time.”
Detectives with the LAPD have not charged the driver and said that no crime was committed. There was no sign that he was under the influence, and he reportedly stopped to render aid to the victim, as well as identify himself to police, People magazine said.
