it sucks, it's usually just half-assed alarm installs where they set the shock sensor wayyy too sensitive. in my old car, it was set so sensitive that if a plane flew overhead, the thing would go off.
I just set mine to go off with a hard impact - a little less than it would take to break the glass. I'll have a false alarm about once every 3-4 months.
but yeah, i live on the #1 street to park on campus... so lots of fucking alarms non stop.
